Cebu’s Parkmall keeps up with big-city competition

MANILA, Philippines – Despite the presence of big city malls, Parkmall located at the Mandaue Reclamation Area in Cebu continues to keep its competitive edge and has addressed this further with the launch of a three-year redevelopment agenda, the first phase of which involves the construction of an expansion project beside the PUV terminal since December 2015.

The area, called West Strip, will house at least 20 tenants with longer operating hours to accommodate guests of the hospitals and hotels located within the area. It is to Parkmall’s credit that it has sparked growth and development in Mandaue in the last few years as that zone used to be regarded as a ghost town, a reclamation area where even public transport would not dare ply.

Today, Parkmall continues to enjoy increased foot traffic especially on weekends. Even at a time when retail shopping can be conducted over the internet, Parkmall has retained its charm to local shoppers with its diverse and evolving lifestyle and entertainment options. Other than these conveniences, Parkmall prides itself in constantly and consistently coming up with fresh and unique ideas that appeal to all kinds of shoppers.
