Bidders to meet for Nayong Pilipino PPP
MANILA, Philippines – Interested participants in the auction for the P1.47-billion New Nayong Pilipino at Entertainment City will be briefed on the project next week, the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Center said yesterday.
The by-invitation conference co-hosted by the Department of Tourism (DOT) and the Nayong Pilipino Foundation (NPF) will be held at Makati Shangri-La Hotel on Feb. 9.The New Nayong Pilipino at Entertainment City PPP project is a tourism-oriented facility which will be implemented by the DOT and NPF.
The winning bidder would enter a 23-year build-transfer-operate-and-
maintain (BTOM) contract with the government, inclusive of a three-year construction period. The contract covers the design, construction, operation and maintenance of a theme park located at the Entertainment City in the reclaimed Manila Bay area.
The project includes putting up themed zones, historical and cultural attractions, recreational and retail attractions, including administration and site support and parking facilities.
