Phl AirAsia restarts Clark-Kalibo flights

MANILA, Philippines –  Low-cost carrier Philippines AirAsia will restart flights from Clark International Airport in Pampanga to Kalibo in Aklan to serve passengers going to the tourist destination of Boracay Island.

In a statement, Philippines AirAsia said the flights would be available three times per week, or on Monday, Tuesday and Friday beginning March 27.

Flight Z2 100 will depart Clark at 12 noon and arrive in Kalibo at 1:10 p.m.

The return flight Z2 101, meanwhile, will leave Kalibo at 1:35 p.m. and land in Clark at 2:45 p.m.

In 2012, the carrier launched commercial flights from Clark.

It moved its hub in Metro Manila following a strategic partnership with a local airline in 2013.

The resumption of the carrier’s flight in Clark comes at a time when the government is promoting the Clark International Airport in view of congestion at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila.

For its return to Clark, Philippines AirAsia is offering promo all-in fares to Kalibo from as low as P699 for travel dates March 27 to Nov. 30, 2017.
