First to rise in the 1.2-hectare Robinsons Cyberpark Davao along the thriving J.P. Laurel Avenue is Cybergate Delta, a five-story office building with commercial space on the ground floor. This will bring to the property market about 11,500 square meters of gross leasable area, including the commercial area.
The building is targeted to be turned over to tenants in the third quarter of 2017.
Four floors of office space will have typical large floor plates of 2,500 square meters for better efficient layout.
“This is in response to the robust growth of the Philippines’ information technology and business process management (IT-BPM) sector which continues to drive up demand for high quality office spaces in the provinces,” RLC’s general manager for office buildings division Faraday Go said in a statement.
Such demand, Go said, had prompted RLC to aggressively expand its office portfolio and look for other growth areas in urban cities around the country which can support the infrastructure, talent and other requirements of BPO companies.
To suit the needs of the IT-BPM sector, RLC said Robinsons Cybergate Delta would have Mistubishi elevators, VRF air-conditioning system, 100 percent back-up power, 24/7 security personnel equipped with CCTV surveillance, fire sprinklers and smoke detectors, LED lights in common areas and multiple telecom service providers.
RLC also allotted an area for BPOs’ recruitment. Cybergate Delta also offers ample parking slots within the Cyberpark complex.
J.P. Laurel Avenue, one of the main thoroughfares in Davao, has access to 24/7 public transportation and is close to major food and retail establishments, schools, hospitals, malls, government offices and transport terminals.
Davao City has been recognized by the government and BPO stakeholders as a “Center of Excellence” for ICT (information communication technology) -BPM operations in 2016.
This expansion indicates RLC’s appetite to expand its office portfolio not only in Metro Manila but also in several key cities nationwide.
